well today i finally got some more gas so i wanted to go riding. i went to my normal riding buds houses but they were all busy. so i stopped at a guys house. he has a 300EX and i know him pretty well. i told him i had no1 to ride with. he said that a bunch of his buds were on their way to go riding. and that i could go with em. i thought that was cool. so i went home to go get ready. so after i'm done gettin ready i head back out to the feild where i normally ride cuz i have to cross it to get to the guys house (his name is Jason by the way). so i'm goin at a normal pace and suddenly my quad gets realy loud. it was a sound i instantly recognized. i thought my silencer had fallen off again but when i went to check it i was only half right. my silencer had falled off many times because the screw had rattled out but this time the mount had broke and i had no way to fix it. i was so mad! and i was sad too. i tried to fix it but to no avail. i told jason and he said it was ok to go with him even if i was really loud. we wouldn't be near any houses it didn't really matter( it turns out people were out their shooting shotguns so noise didn't seem to be an issue). well we waited for the guys to show up and after a half hour or so some trucks pullin trailers and a buncha quads pull up. 3 400EX's (2 red 1 yellow) 1 raptor (red and black) and one warrior plus my quadracer and jasons 300EX. the troubles started immediatly. while we were wraming after we fixed em we started off. my qaud was runnin reeeeeeeallly bad cuz it is jetted WAY to rich right now plus no pipes! i could barely keep up with the 300EX. anyways when we finally got to the sand quarry we were gonna ride in another problem came up. one of the 400EX got a flat tire in front. he still rode a bit but not much. i didn't ride much either. the guys rode a while then somethin else happened. jason rode up a hill and tried to turn back aroudnn in the middle and go back down. but he slid his back end around too much and it tipped. he bailed off and slid down the hill on his stomach while his brand new 300EX rolled at least 4 times down the hill. lucky for him the only damage was bent handle bars wich we fixed as best we could. also a crashed into a tree but not very hard and everything was fine. we went over to a different part of the quarry and it was really muddy. the yellow 400EX, one of the red ones, the 300EX, and the warrior all got stuck in mud exept the 300 which was caught in a big puddle. they got out pretty easy though. i didn't get stuck cuz i barely rode at all. later the guy with the flat tire popped his other front tire! he climed a big hill with 2 flats. after that we all went home cuz we had enough. i was soaked in ice wqater and freezing and so was every1 else. well thats the story sorry about the length. here are the damage results:
1 broken silencer mount (my quadracer)
2 flat front tires (red 400EX)
1 set of bent handlebars (300EX)
6 very muddy quads.

Thats a pretty good story. I was over at a friends house yesterday. He had a video somebody loaned him of some hillbillys driving thier snowmobiles across open water. This was a frozen lake with a open spot in the ice. There was a guy on a ATC250R. He was driving around, looking like he was going to try to skip it. Keep in mind this open spot was in the middle of the lake.. Finally he went for it. I was just flying across the lake totally spinning bad, he hit the water and he made it! Well, on the other side of this open water was more ice, but about 300 feet past that was another open spot. It was glare ice, he couldn't stop, so he gassed it. He made it almost to the other side, but sunk with with a splash. Thankfully 3wheelers don't sink! The guy climbed out of this icewater, they dried off the 250R and he was back at it! He was able to plan for the 2nd open spot and he made it across both many times. He did sink about 4 times. But they always got it running again. On the last run on the video, he got sideways skipping the water, clipped the edge of the ice at the end, and totally flipped it. He went skidding a couple hundred feet and the 3wheeler did a few flips. There was ice chunks and water flying everywhere. It was one of the coolest things I have seen. I sure wish I could have been there!

I am bored so will add my little story.

Went riding Sunday at hillsville. 4 400ex, 1 Quadsport 250(mine), 1 blaster, 1 timberwolf.

We are at a section of hills there called the superbowl. Well it was really muddy that day and it was difficult to get any running start at the hills due to the thick mud. But I tried in my quadsport to take one of the hills. I got near the top and it boggs out, I try downshifting and then clutching it, but I just end up spinning. So i lock the brakes up to hold me on the hill. 2 of my buddies on 400exs come up and get off to help me, when we hear my other buddy yell, 'AAHHHH F**k!!'

He was trying to go up another hill in the superbowl on his 400ex with a flat rear tire.
Well the rear tire caused the bike to pull to the side and pull the ATV up the embankment and roll it, all the way at the top of the hill. He tried to hold on to it but couldn't. I watched (while still stuck on the hill with the brakes locked) as the 400 did between 15-20 flips down the hill.

I never seen a ATV flip that bad, it was getting so much air that one time it did 3 complete flips in the air before landing again. I watched it finally come to a stop about 200 ft after the bottom of the hill. I looked down to see the rear wheels both pointing outwards. After 5 min of looking down at it I realized that I was still stuck on the hill. So we got my quadsport turned around and I headed down to the bottom.

After inspecting the 400ex,, we found the stock axle was severly bent, all 4 stock rims were bent, tie rods bent, and worse of all, the rear subframe is severly bent! The frame might be bent to but not sure. One thing that should of broke or bent was his handlebars,, but they were perfect (Renthals).
So now he is looking at some serious money in fixing his quad back to riding condition.

And it figures i didn't bring my digital camera that day like i have been. Wow that would of been crazy to watch again. BTW..so see pictures of these hills go to

www.beyondspecs.com/ATV/hillsville.htm (my site). The superbowl is the hills with the dirty pond with a car and truck in it at the bottom.
