Default 99 Scramble, rear wheel stud "pockets" stripped...what to do?

So the actual wheel studs arent stripped...but the hexagon shaped cavity the head of the bolt fits into (inside side of tire, nearest the center of bike) are stripped so that as I loosen the lug nuts, the whole bolt spins. Essentially, the hub is stripped and the bolt keeps on spinning.

My first idea is to jam a screwdriver in there...which I did, but it still spins. Next, I thought welding might be the trick...BUT....not so sure you can weld aluminum to steel...I really dont know. Someone else suggested JB Weld.

I think I will get a nut cutter and get those old studs out...but to get new ones in...I need to know what to do other than buy a new hub!

What to do???

GEt on Ebay and get some used hubs.Cheaper than new and less frustrating than messing with them.

Pop off the plastic cap remove the cotter pin and nut. Tap off old hub. Reverse.
