i have an 04 raptor 660. runs awesome cept every once in a while she will cut out and die on me when i'm just idling. any ideas on what this is? prolly a jet problem?

yea it is most likely a jet problem, but go ahead and clean it out really good with some carb cleaner and if that doesn t work place a new jet kit in it.

 

coomon all all raptor 660's, you need to turn the idle up to about 1600 rpm's.

 

sweet deal. is the carb on the clutch side of the quad the one dealing with idling? when i open it up the valve to drain the gas out of the carb it doesn't run out near as fast as the other one and never stops draining. you think my float is probably stuck?

 

When is the last time you ran the valves?

 

i have an ignition coil on order right now so i haven't had it started for about a week but yesterday is when i ran them and that happened.
