Default What to do with 1995 400 scrambler

Trying to decide what to do with my '95 Scrambler.
Wondering what were all the improvements on the newer 400 scramblers..I know the '96 and up cylinder will make more power with mods, Will it fit my bottom end?

Did they get more travel/ better suspension?

The 3-chain setup doesnt bother me.

Mine is a little rough around the edges..Will need:
A new floor board
Starter
Front struts have no dampening
Belt cover melted and rubs.
Lots of other little things.

Pros:
Has new CV shafts
New Swamp Fox tires.
Looks pretty good.

Ultimate goal is to have a "nice" 400 scrambler that is a keeper. Main uses would just be trail riding, playing in the mud and the occasional utility work around the yard.

Just curious what you guys would do. Half tempted to sell it and buy a 2000 or so, But it seems like all the ones I find are in about the same shape as mine. Thanks.

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

Check counterbalance! If it is full of clean oil I would rebuild the engine with a good piston, put a Dynoport pipe on with a Dalton blk/white primary spring,Aaen blue secondary spring, good set of reeds.Fix the little stuff then ride it.There will be plenty of power and still be usable for yard work.
