Default Anybody Have A Street Legal ATV/Side-X-Side?

I would like to legalize my side-by-side, but the laws here in NC can be strict. Just wondering if anybody has turned their ATV or side-by-side into a street legal machine, if so, what did it take, and what state did you do it in? My machine already has seatbelts, headlights, tailights, brakelights, and mirrors.

In Wyoming you need a horn and mirror, must have head , tail and brake lights, also insurance.

Anybody ever get insurance? Seems like every way I turn, I get shut down. I talked to the local DMV inspector, and with a smerk, said I had to get a certificate from Polaris stating that the machine is street legal. That will never happen! On North Carolina's DMV website it clearly states that an ATV can be legalized if it has been made road-worthy and the DMV inspector approves. I think the DMV inspector just wanted to be a jerk. Also my insurance company (Nationwide) said "NO!"

The way I look at it, my RZR is safer than a lot of the homemade dune buggies with VW chassis around here. There is even a guy around here with a Ford Mustang with a streetbike frontend! How did he get that to pass?

But you can ride them on the secondary roads in Ontario just have to check the by-laws for your area . I'm on the road more on my quad than my truck .

Sure, There are streets where I can ride my sled also and no street legal mods are needed, but your not taking one to the mall to go shopping anytime soon.LOL

Maybe this one would be OK.

In Texas, if the title has ORV on it, you will not be able to make it street legal.

Well, legally anyway.
