Default Polaris 400L tools wanted...

I'm looking for some old Polaris tools for a 400L motor. Specifically, I'm wanting the special socket that removes the reverse thread nut behind the stator. I need to pull the counter balancer for a rebuild. I may be interested in other tools also. I also may be interested in a scrambler 400 to use as a parts bike. Just let me know what you have. Thanks.

I just replaced the seals and bearing behind the water pump on my Sport 400. I removed the nut with a brass punch.

Yeah I was able to remove the nut with a thin file and a hammer. I pulled the counter balancer and crank gear with a slide hammer and a 6mm bolt. All in all the flywheel was the hardest to remove, i broke a puller trying, that was before i relized to beat on it with a hammer. Thanks for the reply though.

Carefull beating on flywheels with hammers. You can break or dislodge the magnets and if that happens and you run the machine you can ruin and stator. Flywheels and stators are pretty expensive too.

I was somewhat carefull. The first try, before I broke the puller, I stripped half the threads out of one of the holes in the flywheel because I didn't have the bolt threaded enough. Then the puller broke. So the last try I beat on the puller shaft with a rubber mallet and it popped right off.
If CB oil is burning out my exhaust is my crank seal bad? My water pump seals and bearing were shot, but my crank bearings and CB bearings feel fine. The crank oil seal also "looks" ok. The CB oil is a rusty red color.

If a hammer won't fix it, its an electrical problem.
