Default Questions for ATV-GURU bumper owners

I am looking at buying some ATV-GURU bumpers for my 850XP but have some questions I want to ask to all of you out there who have them.
I am looking at the Cobra front and back bumpers without the expanded metal. The questions I have are.
Are they heavy? were they easy to install? do you have to modify them in any way? Do they work well with the winch and Glacier 2 plow mount system?
Given the choice would you buy them agein? I also noticed from the pictures on their web site that the rear bumper attaches to were my extended rack
Mounts to. Can I still use the rack extender after the bumper is installed? Or does it have to be modified?

Thanks for your time and answers

Sorry but I have mine on the older model. I will say this bumper is the best made addition I added to my bike. They are heavier than the Polaris brand because they are meant to take a hit, not just look good. Mine fit like a glove, no struggling or adjusting. I would and do recommend them to any one looking for a "real" bumper.

I had many questions when I was looking to get a set for my 08 700x2. I just dropped them an e-mail with some of the questions and it was not ½ hour before I got a call from the owned. Wondering how he got the ph# I remember my signature with Cell is included on all the email I send out. He's had some of the same questions I had from others and had done research to see if his bumpers would work or did some modifications so they would work. I say drop him an email and get it from the source. Nice folks.
As for the back set i put on the X2, they are the real deal. They have taken some hits that the Polaris OEM ones would have not taken. Good Luck

well I just finished ordering my new bumpers from ATV-GURU. like ZAKAZIM said, John was very helpful and a nice guy to talk to. Answered all my questions and told me everything I had to do to make the rear extended rack and snow plow work.
they are also going to be using a new textured pant that is apparently a lot stronger than what they had used in the past.

Now all I have to do is wait. D’oh

I also agree with Fishy excellent people to deal with bumpers are top notch exc. workmanship & quality follow his instructions and they go on without a problem took me longer to get them unwrapped from his protective wrap then it did to put them on got front and rears on my 850xp love em went under Richochet skids with no mods.

how much does the viper line weigh though, that's the true question, i mean yea its nice it can handle hitting a tree and not bending but if you hit a tree that hard, your going over the bars...but if they are within the same weight, and I already know they are a competitive price, then my friends, we have a deal

I don't have them...YET. But my father does. We called them up and John is awesome. Very knowledgeable and informative.
Once the bumpers got here I was VERY impressed with the product!! Weep holes the seams on the steel all down and out of site, all welds very good even with excellent penetration.
Weight was a concern for me as well as in the pictures they look VERY heavy. THEY ARE NOT!!! Weight is surprisingly light. They have mass and appear to be able to hold up to some serious trail impacts. They have excellent coverage and as you know some of the absolute best looking bumpers on the market!

Just buy them, you WILL BE SATISFIED!!!

Not as heavy as they look.

Relatively. As easy as any other similar accessory. If you have a couple of wrenches and sockets and have enough mechanical skill to change a tire you should be in good shape.

Very little.

I had to make a small modification for a winch. Just needed a little extra clearance for part of the winch. Nothing a file or grinder wouldn't take care of. As for the G2 mount, guru can send you a template that shows where you need to trim the g2 mount so it will work. The people I've asked about it say it's no big deal.

I wouldn't buy anything but them. Best guards I've seen. Great company to work with and an outstanding well designed product.

If you're talking about the polaris rear rack extender then yes it works with the rear bumper. It may need some very minor fitting but again nothing you can't do with a file or a grinding wheel.
