Default '05 Kodiak 450 Maintenance?

Hey all,

After reading up on the archives, I pulled the trigger on an '05 Kodiak 450 with 240 mi and 60 hrs. I know it hasn't been run much at all in the last few years, so its idling rough, but I think I can take care of that. Because of the low hours, I have to assume that the fluids haven't been changed in a while, so what do you recommend changing. I know oil and filter, probably air filter, but what else? I don't have a manual.

Thanks!
Troy

Your idling may be from bad gas,a carb cleaning would not hurt but if your lazy try a can of seafoam through a tank to clean out the carb and motor. Oil changes are done every 50hr by the book, you also have front/rear diff gear oil , tanny oil and coolant but they last much longer and should be ok for awhile yet. Would not hurt to check though.

Your ATV is the called a 450 Grizzly now,if your looking for a manual.

As others have said - change all the fluids (diff's/ engine oil ) test the coolant, clean the carb and grease it up!

Shoot me an email @ snowwmax@yahoo.com and I will send ya the 03-06 Kodiak 450 manual.
