Default How many XP owners have torn a CV boot?

How many of you have torn a CV boot because of the lack of guards on the rear killing your ATV trip? 3 in my group have and we now all run Ricochet A Arms. These things are awesome and bolt right up. Took all of 30 minuets to install!

yes they do help alot, but remember they are not full proof on any cv boot protector. i had another set on one of my bikes and stilll got a ripped boot. it all depends on what your riding through.

Haven't torn a boot but have been running ricochets since I had 100 miles on the machine. The Ricochets are a great product, I ordered ours in the black anodized.

Best 120 bucks I have spent! I also like how they cover the rear brake lines on the XP.

We bought two polaris sportsmans a couple of years ago and the only bike that we have had to change the boots on, is the one that has gaurds. Can't figure it out but maybe things are getting caught between the gaurd and the boot causing it to rip.

Two buddies, each with 2002 Polaris Sportsman 500s. One tore a rear boot going over slash left from loggers. The other we're not sure. But, he does have a lift kit that puts the cv boots at a severe angle.

The thing the aftermarket boot guards do that the stock ones do not is protect from underneath not just from the front. Thats why they work better.
