Default shock recomendations 07 Raptor 700R

Any recommendations on a cheaper alternative for upgrading my front shocks. I don't have very many hours and really like how soft they are so when I'm trail riding I always seem to be ready for more. But riding with some of my racing buddies with their done up Kawi and Honda 450R's I notice at higher speeds mine doesn't seem to float over dips and puddles like their's do. I've seen YFZ450 piggy back shocks for cheap and some works dual or triple. Obviously I'm trying not to spend to much money but at the same time don't want to waste money if it's not going to do much.

I am assuming yours is the non SE with the pogo shocks? The reason I ask is because the SE's versions came with better piggyback shocks in 07 than the regular 07's.

A cheaper alternative would be to find a set of used YFZ shocks or a set of the raptor piggyback shocks off an 07SE or 08 and up. The YFZ shocks will be slightly shorter. If you go this route you can find a set on yfztech.com or raptorforum.

You can also have your shocks revalved and resprung.

I would just keep an eye on the forums for a set of YFZ shocks or piggyback raptor shocks then. They are pretty common in the for sale sections on both of those sites, they will be a very nice upgrade from the pogo style for a decent price.

if u looked at all the raptor forums in the forsale section u can find some pretty deals, i recently picked up a ishock setup for a friend for 650 bucks shipped and the shocks were rebuilt with only a couple rides on them
