Default Banshee help

I have just aquired a Banshee. The guy said he just rebuilt it but was having trouble getting it running on both cylinders. He claimed it was a carberator issue and that if he switched carbs the other side would run. I figured he just didnt have them sinced up right. So I got it home and it started up fine but just on the one cylinder. I checked the carbs and they looked to be in sync. I did a compression test and I have 125 psi on the left and 60 psi on the right. Did the guy not get this thing put back together right? What could this be and where do I start.Thanks in advance for any help.

I got it running for a while warmed it up a little then did another compression check, and now have got 0 compression on both sides. So I opened it up and now I have a hole in both pistons also I have little indentations on the domes and on the top of the right piston. http://s191.photobucket.com/albums/z...MAG0077.jpg%26

The worst part is that the buy that had it before me had the jugs bored out to the max .80. I gotta have them resleeved. This things turning into a money pit and fast.

Yeah I looked about 350 for jugs on ebay, and they may have been bored already. Sleeves are $200 plus machining $80. Then Ill be back to stock bore.

Wow, that just sucks man. Just do as I've done. When you get it back together just say to yourself, "well it's all new, what else could go wrong?"

That's usually followed by "O, that"

Wow that does suck. I have an 88 warrior with great compression. Never had a rebuild yet. It didn't get ran that much.

How much did you pay for it? You may be able to double your money if you wanted to after a fresh rebuild, if your not in it to far already.

Don't you mean .080? Wiseco offers up to .100 Link....

PISTON*PARTS-WISECO*::...

Don't even think on going the OE piston route, they are junk. The Ultra Lites are reliable. Order some and have your machinist bore the cylinders to the pistons.

Get some reliable jetting and also make sure you have no intake leaks when getting it back together.

Before ordering pistons make sure someone qualified inspects the cylinders and gives the OK on .090 or .100 clearing up scarring.
