Default xp belts

Looking at the new xps online and wondering how you would get to the clutches mounted to the rear like that? Also does a 550 use the same belt as the 850 or is it a thicker stronger belt?

Just curious

theres a piece on the frame that unbolts, take the rear tire off, pull the cover, if u need to take the primary off, you need the rzr clutch puller cuz it is shorter. idk about the belt i bought one yesterday for my 850 and it was 140.00 from polaris

Thanks much! Doesn't sound any worse than my 500 but sure don't like the idea of needing to take a wheel off. How come ya needed to replave a belt already?

New belts are spendy but I always keep a spare with just in case, have done it on every pair of machines we have owned. I about had a stroke when I found out what the belt cost for the XP's, fortunately Wifey and I both have 2009's so we only need 1 spare.

Other then the tire removal its not much different then working on the normal sportsmans.

FYI for the XP owners that there is a belt tool on the tool kit to help open the secondary clutch to make changing the belt easier.

Also EPI will have belt available soon the the 550/850 XP's

That's not what the Honda guys think. According to them belts just fall off CVT's *****-nilly, and need to be replaced daily.
