Default Any advice? 2006 Sportsman X2

I am looking into buying a 2006 Polaris Sportsman X2 with 3800miles. I want a good utility machine with the option for a 2 up ride. I will likely be using it to haul wood, yard work, plow snow and the occasional trip to the cabin. Local dealer is asking $4800 for the machine. So my question is, are their any know issues with this machine? Should I stay away? Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like too much money for that quad with that many miles. Check out what it's worth on Kelly Blue Book site for used ATV's.

Make sure the recall was done for 2006 http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml08/08193.html , Price seem Little high for 3800 miles, My 01 has less then that.
When buying used, for me it is more about condition and milage rather than year of the ATV.

Suggested Retail Value $5180 based on Kelly.

Yea, but the Trade in Value is $3565. Either he's trying to make a killing at $4800, or he had to put a bunch of money into it to fix it. Either way, not a good deal.

Good luck with your decision.

You think that $4800 is fair? I like Redbanks deal better, wish I had it. Again not allot of used 2 up in Newfoundland.
