I sould a beat up 89 350 4x4 Big Bear with a million miles on it with no working front brakes or electric start for $1500, MY consin sold his 2000 500 Scrambler with 3500 miles on it for $3000. Canadian Used ATV prices are high. Even a 3 wheeler in good shape sells for $700 atleast.

thats ashame the value of atv's are high like that, you might be better off buying new. I know my cousin just bought a left over 550XP with winch and plow otd for $7,200. maybe driving a few hours south can save some money. i know I have drove up to 5 hours one way to buy certain motorcycles

New is worst in Canada. My friend bought a New 500 foreman E.S back in 06 for $8200 out the door, in the States a new 500 foreman is $5500 out the door.

A fellow newfie! Wasup b'y?

I bought a 2007 800 x2 deluxe (alloy wheels etc) back in march, it has a winch, front bumper/brush gaurd, windsheild/fairing and a front rack extender. It had 1400 miles when I got it, it has over 2000 on it now. I paid 7100 tax included from a dealer here in Corner Brook (not the Polaris dealer) it booked for that much not including tax which is mostly why I bought at that time of year. I've since put 27" maxxis mud bugs on it, upgraded tires are a must if you are riding anything but roads or trails, it needs all the help it can get being so heavy. I've had a couple issues, the exhaust maifold cracked causing it to backfire when decelerating and I had to disconnect the ADC because it was getting noisy. I don't think the 2006 would have ADC and the manifold cracking is somewhat common on that engine, it cost $100 and is pretty simple to replace as long as none of the studs are stuck.

I've seen Big Reds sell for over $2000 when in really good condition.

So my question is, are their any know issues with this machine? Should I stay away? Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

to answer your question is I only have about 700 miles on mine and haven't had any problems. I guess you should check out the obvious with the machine, suspension, steering, brakes, check ofr leaks and if maintenance have been done. Only thing I have encountered is i have a crack in my bed, the bed is made of plastic but it still functions fine.

Thanks for the input guys. Still wrestling with this decision. EastCoastWest, how did the storm effect you? We got hit hard but I only lost a few tress and a stupid tarp tent, all in all not too bad.

Went checking on a few Can-Am's, got offered a 2010 Outlander Max XT with Windshield for $12,000.00 on the road. Not a bad deal but still, $$$$$!!!!

We got a little rain overnight and a bit of wind, nothing out of the ordinary.
