How much should I take off the head off a 2001 trailblazer 250? My 15 YO son is really getting board with his trailblazer, I need get a little more power on bottom and top.

This machine has great compression 140PSI and I have a white spring in it but its a slug when you first hit the gas and it will only go about 50mph top end.

I looked on Rick Ritter site but they are not real clear about performance gains.

Shaving the head is not going to make much difference in power

 

Increased compression doesn't equal more power? It helped on my Kaw H1 and H2. (Along with porting and intake side piston skirt trimming.)

 

get a 34mm carb off a 400cc bike,oodles of extra power for me,,,,,,,,,,

 

Will the 34mm carb bolt write up? How about a pipe off a 89 - 97 TB, will it fit a 2000? What is the difference?

 

if u got 140psi thats very good. I only get 128 psi with my TB with a fresh
top end job & the head shaved .020, there might be a little difference
in our comp. gages though. When I shaved my head it made only a very small difference
in power. With 140 psi u might want to look else where for power gains. talk to rick he
can get u the power u want!!
