I am thinking change tires for betters mud tires. Mud Lites or Gorillas.

The question is. With the stock suspension in a 850 xp 2010 can i use tires 28, 29 or 30 inches ?

 

Not sure on the size but you can typically go up 2 inches from stock on the popos. As for the choice on tires it depends on where you ride mostly. Mud lites are a decent mud tire and good all around tire. Gorillas are very aggressive and will not be so good on normal trail rides.

 

Any one know if 29 or 30 will fit without lift kit or spacers ?

 

you don't need a lift but it will be tight especially when acclerating hard but spacers or offset rims are needed you will need at lest a one inchif you go with 11" width
1.5" for 12"

 

what I like about Mudlits is the choice of 3 models, Trail tire (AT) with 3/4" lugs, Trail/Mud (XL) with 1-1/8th lugs. and Mud (XXL) with 1-1/2" lugs. all are 6 ply with the same tread pattern.

 

what the specification if i want the ITP SS312 rims with a 28 mud lites ?

 

I believe they fixed the swaybar clearance issue on the 2010...so 11" wide tires should fit without any spacers...someone correct me if I am wrong.
Also..30's will probably fit..only issue I could think of would be the front tires possibly hitting the plastic underneath during hard spring compression...and maybe hitting something when turning??
I had 32's on my 850 with a 3" lift...the only thing even close to rubbing was the rear tires...had to trim the back of the foot wells..

 

I run 12" Zillas on the back of my '10 850. No spacers and no clearance issues.

 

Thats sound like good news. Is any advantage using spacers? Better ride? Goods vs Bads?

 

I had mud lite XLs. They are not a good tire and I will never own them again. They are not a mud tire....
