Your right there a do both tire, the XXLs are more for mud but still not hard core Mud like Vampires.

I like my XLs, there aggressive enough for sloppy spots but will not vibrate the filling out of your teeth when cruising down a hard packed road or trail.

I'm running the Mudlite XTR's 27x14's on the stock '09 wheels, great all around use tire with stock suspension and no need for a clutch kit. Did have to use 1" spacer's in the rear to clear the swaybar. No problem on the '10 models having to do this.
