Default 03 Big Bear Glowing Exhaust

I have a big bear that glows red at the headpipe. I had the carburetor cleaned at a shop and the atv seems to run fine now but still glows red hot at the headpipe. Has anyone else experienced this on a big bear?

I have an 08 Big Bear, and even running down trails and high rpms, I have never seen it glow red. Did it do this before you took it in too?? I would call the shop that worked on the carb and talk to them about it. They should be able to give you some answers, or recheck their work to make sure it was all done correctly.(for free) Good Luck.

Red-hot exhaust pipes are generally an indication of overly lean fuel mixtures. Lean mixtures can burn the valves and valve seats.

I would immediately return the quad to the shop and have them fix this situation before you end up with a HUGE repair bill.
