250x Oil Leak From Head!! PLZ HELP!!
#1
my 250x is starting to leak oil from the head in two places... heres a pic so i can explain myself
A: i found out it was stripped..but not just the bolt the threads into the head were stripped.. so i ended up putting a non metric thread in there and it seemed to tighten down good.. but when the motor runs it starts to bubble up around the outside of the bolt head.. could i try to loosen it and pul silicone gasket maker on it and tighten it back down?..
B: when the motor is running i can see oil start bubbling out around what looks to be like a rounded edge but it doesnt look like the engine case has a split there..
it all together doesnt leak that bad just bubbles up and make a little oil lip at the end of the head but i want to figure out how to seal it up.. please help thanks

I would take the cover off, and ckeck it with a stright edge, to see if it was warped, and how bad. Also looks like someone has been hitting it with screwdriver and hammer. The cover is just cast Alum. Very easy to crack, or warp. If look around you maybe able to find a cover cheap. RTV well only work temparly.
