Exclamation 2001 Magnum reverse problems.

We have a 2001 Polaris Magnum 325cc 4x4. When the engine is cold, we can't put it into reverse without it stalling. When it is warm, it works fine.

Any suggestions??

Thanks
-Drew

I don't remember if the 2001 had a seperate reverse limiter box. If it does all you have to do is unhook the black wire from the box.

If, I disconnect this wire, will it deactivate the override switch as well?

If you unhook this wire you will have full power in reverse at all times. Also your throttle safety switch will no longer work. That is fine with me but others may not like that.

Thanks Overdrive. Do you think this would fix the problem? The engine dies whenever I shift it from Drive to Reverse.
