Default 1999 Sporstsman 500 Carb Rebild Kit

Hello, did some searching and even saw the same question posted a year ago with no replies. Has anyone seen a rebuild kit for the 1999 carb? I see some on ebay for other Sportsman years and for 1999 Scramblers. Nothing for 1999 Sportsman's.....

Thanks in advance, Jon

why do u need a rebuild kit? rarely does the entire carb need rebuilt, most of the time, its the needle and seat, go through and clean your jets and adjust your air/fuel screw

Prob don't need the whole kit but saw kits for other years for around $25. The needle, seat, and O ring are $30 + shipping. Just figured I could rebuild the whole carb for the same money if I could find a kit.

you may had seen one of my old posts, good luck, there are no rebuild kits that i could ever find. the best thing to do is like stated above, tear it down, replace the o-ring, needle, and seat. clean everything else really well and blow out those jets. be sure to take your time putting it back together. best of luck- PB500

How do you ware at carb out? At most it may need a new o ring and a cleaning, kinda hard to ware a jet out.

Go on ebay get a 40mm carb and the high duration Cam and turn your 500 into a H.O.

The jet needle and needle jet also wears out on these carbs. A lot of people don't know this but this is why older Polaris 4 strokes start running so rich.
