Hi Guys, I have a 1996 Sportsman 500, I have a problem with the shifter. It would not go in 4wd. I took the top of the shifter apart and found some broken wires and a little part that looks like it triggers the switch and it appears to be worn. I was thinking a used shifter would be the best way to fix this because the switch was $92 and I think I also would need some thing else. What years and model shifters will fit this machine? When I looked in the parts book the switch was a one year only (1996), they must have updated for later years. Any ideas what is the best way to go with it?
