Default sure is hard to remove the battery

Just venting,My 07 sportsman efi; Decided to remove the batterys from my 4 quads for the winter. The o7 has a larger battery than the others, with the same size box. You cant tip it out to remove the cables ,and you cant get at it good ,under the seat[even unhooking the plastic a bit]it took me all of 20 minutes to get it out.what a pain!
Then on my wifes 09,[which had had a wreck and had a new battery put in] Idiscover ,they put the same size battery in it! Iguess ill break down and by a battery tender for each of them next time.
Just for reference the new 09 battery is an INTERSTATE battery and it is identical to the 07 POLARIS OEM,same sticker on top and every thing.

next time, you may try to put the thin velcro straps vertical around the battery, top to bottom, that way you'll have a handle to grab the battery and pull up. heck, i've found this to be easy and cheap, especially when you get the little straps at the dollar store. heck, if they rot in a year, OK, i'll spend another dollar. it's nice to vent every now and then ain't it? ha ha

Don't worry.... it get easer once you get use to it. Get the battery tender for sure and leave it in. I just installed one since this is my third battery. Thought I would see if it will help.

Guys,
Where that i have 4 atvs in my family.and they are all parked side by side,is it feasable to buy the battery connectors for each, and use one tender. Are the cords gonna be long enough?Has anyone done this with multiple quads at once?
I cant even start to tip the battery,or lift it out ,without removing the screws or cables .The rubber protective covers get in the way of the wrench,so its 1/8th of a turn at a time to take out the screws

Try this wires look long 4-Bank International Charger - USA Western Hemisphere - Motorcycle - Batterytender.com

I was removing my battery now I just leave it installed on my machine and hooked to a charger for most of the winter . I use a CTECH charger MULTI XS 3600 - all-round, reliable and safe - CTEK SWEDEN AB
