Default Carb overflow tube?

I have been searching for a fuel leak on my 94 Big Bear & finally located a decent drip coming from what a friend of mine called a carberator overflow hose.

Anyone know what this hose is & what problem I am having to cause this problem?

Carb overflow is due to stuck float normally..... May have a hole in it also (the float).

Thanks...I will probably just have it rebuilt since I do not think anything has been done to it.

Lately I have noticed that the bike seems real heavy or almost like it is dragging a lead sled around when at partial throttle...accelerate a little more and it will then take off like normal. Could the float problem cause it to feel like that?

Yeah,.... it'd be flooding a little if the float is stuck down a little, or a tiny bit if debris has the needle sticking (the float runs the needle in/out of the seat, allowing more fuel in as need and shutting it off when not needed). It may just need a new needle and seat, which would be cured by a rebuild kit too. Couldn't hurt to do the rebuild anyway, especially on an older machine like that.
