#1
I work at a dealer in central wv... we had 2 polaris razors stolen over thanksgiving weekend.....both are new 2011 models 1 is camo last 4 digits of vin 8439......the other is a limeted edition red/white last 4 of vin 7752....we believe they were taken by someone in this area hunting as it is buck season here...so they are probably on there way somewhere else......if anyone has seen anything or knows any thing please call the wv state police......and if anyone could post this on some of the other forums out there it would be greatly appreciated............thanks

Unless you part them out , I never could see a reason to want a ATV that was stolen, both the Police and game wardens ask you for insurance and prof of ownership, once we just forgot to bring a ownership slip and they pulled a Satellite phone out and ran the vin number just to make sure.

Just saying if they part it out they can sell everything but the frame without getting caught or they could be typical criminals who aren't too smart and try selling it in one piece(seen it happen here). Chances are they will try to make some $ on them so keeping an eye out for an abundance of new/like new oem RZR parts could lead you to the thiefs. Seen all kinds of stupid crap like that on craigslist around here. Wouldn't hurt to take out a wanted ad in the local craigslist rv section in your area for something like a motor, tranny, etc. Had a buddy do that for some sleds/trailer that got stolen. Went to the house to check out the parts, saw his trailer/sleds(in pieces), and said he would be back with some cash. Came back a little later to "buy" his stuff back and they were abruptly interrupted by the cops which he had set up a sting with.

I would think that if your dealer has proper insurance he/she WOULDN'T want them back!
Afterall, they are probably all beat-up and far from "new" condition at this point! LOL!
If recovered and repaired, you would still have to disclose that it was a recovered theft, Polaris warranty may be limited, and the ATV will sell for a significant loss imo because who in the heck would want a recovered theft in the first place?
Do you really think that your dealer wants them back?
