Default Tell me why I should buy a Grizzly 700 instead of the Kawasaki 750 Brute force..

Looking at buying a new quad and I have narrowed it down to two choices, the Yamaha 700 Grizzly or the Kawasaki Brute Force 750.

Please tell me why you think I should buy the Yamaha instead of the Kawasaki...

Thank you...

If you want a quad that is fast with ok reliability buy the brute. If you want a quad that has decent speed and superb build quality/dependability get a Grizz. Things I personally dont care for on the brute is there 4x4 actuator system (lever) and there engine breaking system (a little motor that fails more times than not) and the ride quality brute is nowhere near as good as the Grizz, plus the Power steering speaks for itself !

While recently shopping for a used ATV - I seriously considered the Brute Force 750i. I had owned a 2000 Grizzly 600, and while it was pretty much problem free, the revvier V-Twin Kawasaki really goy my heart racing just thinking about it. I ended up buying an '06 Kodiak 450 i, but I keep thinking about the Brute.
I actually like the lever diff. locking system better than the Yamaha's system, and, price being similar, I can think of no good reason to go with the big single Yamaha. I have read that the '08+ Brute's have painted plastic, though, if that matters to you. I often wondered if that holds up better or worse than solid colored plastic to brush scratches.

Two words.
Power Steering.

That is a direct answer to your question.

Now the indirect - Comfort... These are both popular rides and I would suggest riding a mile or two on each and see how they feel to you.
Me I dont like the Grizz because the footboard feels too short for my size 15 shoes.

Both are reliable and have their pluses but for my money power steering is worth every penny.
For what it is worth there were no issues with either unit in our riding group and we did 1000 miles from April to November this year.
