i bought a 2000 kodiak from a guy 2 yesterday and was told it needed a belt but when i got the cover off the belt looked fine a seemed to be spiining fine but the bike would idle and go in gear but wouldent move if you give it gas and today i took a socket wrench to the cluth adjust bolt in a atempt to losen it a readjust it but i just moved the belt so i tryed starting it up again and when it idle the it was rev ing up to fulll throtle without me pushin the thgrotle and when i do press it it dies and the last time i started it a bolt fell from the bike and it wont even start now it just jerks the belt when i try to start!!!! HELP PLEASE

 

sounds like bad clutch or clutches, take the belt off and watch to see if primary clutch opens and closes smoothly with throttle

 

YA IM GUNNA BE CHECKIN THE clutch tommorow and the reason for it not starting was the spark wasent on tight enough and i had my gas off because i was removing the gas tank
