Middle of replacing CV Boots
#1
I have everything apart, cleaned and ready for assembly. I have two new boots. The Polaris manual says to install a new snap ring when reassembling. Is there a reason why? The two in there look fine? I really want to put this together today and ride--not spend 2.5 hours driving to the Polaris store.
Also, what about CV grease? Is there anything I can get at the local auto parts store?

Where did you buy a boot kit with no new clamps or greese?
Never bought a boot alone, but if the clamps look good they should work, I always cut them off. Any normal automotive grease should be fine.

I thought grease is grease. Just pack some synthetic marine grease in there. I also reused those CV spring clips.
