Default Do you think this is a scam? - Craigslist

So i put one of my quads up for sale on craigslist and got a response from someone. What struck me as odd when I initially read the reply was that they didn't ask if I would go any lower on the price. Usually when you sell on craigslist the replies are "whats the lowest you will take". So anyways thats red flag #1. Then I go take pictures as requested and the reply is this:

Thank you so much for your response, I will be happy to buy it,I would have love to come and view it but I am not around presently and I would have love to call as well but I am a deaf.Just buying this for my Pastor,Note that you won't be responsible for the shipping and handling.A shipping AGENT will come to your location for the pick up kindly provide me your full name and address so i can forward it to the shipping company to calculate the shipping cost for me.Also send me your PayPal money request or email address. Do get back to me as soon as possible so i can make the payment via PayPal.

Have a nice day.

Has anyone sold a bike this way?

Yes I think it's a scam and I would not send any personal info if it were me.

100% scam-

I've sold thousands of items on cl- I get these emails all the time.

I'm amazed how generic they all are-

DEAL LOCALLY - FACE TO FACE ONLY!!!!

Exclamation

My suggestion for CL is that transactions happen in person and with cash only.

I also have the transaction take place in a public place with cameras like the Home Depot or Wal Mart Lots. I never invite a potential freak to my home address.

CL is riddled with scam artists

That's what I thought

I emailed some other guys selling quads in my area on craigslist and all the ones that have replied said they got the same message.
