Default RZR rim/tire ?

Just picked up a RZR and would like to put some larger tires on it, but from what I have searched so far, it looks like spacers or new offset rims are required to do so. $ It now has stock 25-8/10-12 and I would like to go to 14" rims with 27" dia. tires.

I could also just go with spacers and 27"s on the 12"rims I have now, but I like the looks of the 14" rims.

I can't understand why Polaris engineers don't give there rides more clearence for tire upgrades as just about everyone upgrades tires.

RZR owners what have you done? Anyone modify the motor mount for clearence?

if ur gonna go with aftermarket wheels, such as itp's, they should be a different offset for the wheel, shouldn't need spacers for it

Anyone who sells tire/rim combos will have the proper offset so you won't have to worry about clearing the mount. I got mine off ebay and they bolted up with plenty of room. What year did you buy? I know you can run up to 28's easily on the 11's without lifting. I have a 3" lift on my 09 and running 27" zillas with plenty of space to go bigger if I want.

I got a 08 with 12" rims that I think have the stock 6+2 offset in the rear. I see vision has a 14" 4+4 offset and IEP has a SS212 with a 3+5 offset. What rim combinations are you running? Did Polaris modify the frame area on the newer (09,10,11) standard models?

I'm running 14" STI rims and I believe the rears are a 5+3 offset. Bolted on with plenty of motor mount clearance. Don't think polaris modified the frames on the 10-11 models and they are basically set up like 08-09 with a 3" lift. Also, from what I hear they didn't change the axle length(although I heard the 11's have smaller diameter shafts) so lifting them will mean using an S conversion or the stock axles will bind.
