Default Few more 07-08 Wolverine questions

Well in the other thread,I was doing battle with my wife about pulling the trigger on a 450 07 Wolverine SE..And I'm sad to say....she won But we did come to a compromise lol...We made a deal that I ride my 03 Wolverine for 1 year from now..Then we will search all the Yamaha dealers in my area for a deal on 08 SE..(pirce will drop because the 09's will be coming in)In that time we can save the money the bike will cost and I will be able to keep my 03(that is getting welded now because I broke the frame on a large jump)

Then the deal is,I'm going to part out my 03 and use the funds to mod the 08,I can't live with myself selling the whole bike after such a frame repair..

But what I was wondering if anyone knows if the 03 rims(with my 25" mud lites)will fit on the newer Wolverines,06-07-08??The 450 08 SE that I'm going to get has more of a sport rim/tire on it..It would be nice for the dry trail and track I could use the stock rim/tires and in winter and sloppy riding I could swap the stock with those big old mud lites..what do you guys think..

About the winch,I have a pretty much brand new Warn winch on my 03 now and it looks nice tucked into the front end..I see Warn sells a mount plate for the 07 and the 08 frame has not changed i'm told..I would like to use the winch I have on my 03 and install it on the 08 I'm going to get..Does anyone have any pics of what the winch would look like on the newer Wolverines??

When I'm ready to part out my 03 I will give you 03 owners here a heads up..I have a brand new carb on it HMF black pipe with one season on it a K&N filter with a outerware prefilter,Warn 4 2 4 select, the motor runs great..pretty much everything on the bike is in good shape(but the frame)..But that is down the road if the welder can fix that nasty break,If not I will be parting it out starting next week lol

As far as the wheels on the new one they are the same as a rhino, they are the utility type wheels so they should be the same bolt pattern i would think. The winch is down low on the new wolvy so it will carry the weight down there, the only problem I see with one down there is that you will get it under water and mud if you are very deep. But your old winch should work just fine. I hope you get as good or a better deal when the 09's are coming in than what you were offered now.
