Default Parking Brake on Yfz450x

I just bought and installed a set of aceorbis hand guards on my yfz 450. The problem i have is the parking brake lever doesnt clear the hand guard. Is there a relocation bracket out there for this problem or do i have to choose between hand guards and having a parking brake? thanks

Parking brake isn't something I'd worry too much about. Parking it in gear would keep it from rolling provided nothing hits the shifter and somehow knocks it into neutral.

I've seen parking brake removal kits for the z400's. They used those for racing. From what I understood, with the parking brake on the bike, it creates a little drag on the brake so completely removing it gives it a little more speed/quickness. I don't have proof of that, just what I've read here and a few other places.

But it does prove that it's a popular idea enough that someone made a kit, and that the brake is not a must have item.

Someome makes a bracket for the YFZ and raptors to allow you to keep the parking brake with handguards, I'll see if I can find it. It is a pretty simple peice, all it does is angle the parking brake lever to swing at about a 45 degree angle upwards where it will miss the handguard. I have also seen several people relocate the parking brake to a different spot on the frame but this is when they had gone to aftermarket levers because you need the stock perch to do that.

Here is the one for the powermadd handguards, I am not sure if they will work with the aceorbis guards, they look like they are a little bigger.

And here is one from Rox, you can also get a different lever that is a bit shorter.

Here are a couple of threads on modded raptor where guys have relocated theirs, these are on the raptors but should work the same on the YFZ's
