i just picked up the quad dirt cheap, it is a 1992 yamaha timberwolf 2wd, shaft drive, runs great but has no rear brakes, i found that some idiot previous owner has welded the axle nut to the brake drum and i am wondering how to remove the axle? i know i'll have to cut the weld but i will probably destroy the axle in the prosess (thats probably why it is welded someone stripped the threads before so they just welded it together instead of fixing it the right way). i am looking for a manual to buy but in the mean time i was hoping someone here knows how the rear axle goes together, any info will be greatly appreciated.
