I ended up getting a 2003 kfx 400 from my friend who is in the TBI. He gave it to me for 1000. All it needs is a new case and I know that will be around 400-500. So all in all i will have about 1500 in it. The plastic is a little faded but still looks good. It has a new hmf full system on it and weisco pistons. and everything looks to be in good condition. You think this was a good buy? I am gettin a new case tuesday so it should be running then.

 

I think you did alright for a 2003, here in Utah you can pick one up for that price fairly easy but they are ready to ride no repairs needed but you helped a friend out and got a fair deal.

 

Sounds like a fair deal for both sides to me. You will like the 400, very solid machine.

 

I ended up helping him fix it and gave it back to him and with the money i picked up this 2006 350 Raptor in the attachment below for 1500. Now me and him can ride together. This little 350 runs like a champ. It has a full Yoshimira Exhaust and a K&N Air Filter. I have noticed a ticking noise at idle at times. Not sure if it is anything. My dad had a warrior which is the same thing and he has never said anything about it so idk if it is something to check out or what? Any ideas?
