LT80 DIY mods - results

I recently tore my sons 80 apart and had .030 taken off the head. Compression went from about 115-120PSI to 140PPSI, I also pulled the clutch out to lighten the rear shoes to 180g and replaced all six of the rollers with new ones. Everything went back together nicely and it fired up and ran good the first time. Today I had my first chance to take it down the street and while it is a bit quicker it wasn't the results I was expecting. I was expecting most of the gains to be on the bottom end however the only real noticeable difference I can feel is on the top end. I haven't had a chance to get my GPS out but it feels like it picked up a good 5MPH on top. Bottom end seems about the same with a bit of a bog while mid feels a bit stronger. I'm thinking of going back in and taking out two of the rollers to see if I can pick up some bottom end. Stay tuned...

I have yet to go back into the clutch however I was looking at an exploded view of the front clutch assembly today and noticed I may have put the large washer on top of the fixed drive plate rather than behind the plate. Does anybody know how this would affect the clutch? WOuld it make it feel heavy on the bottom end and over geared?

The install goes:: Variator assembly, round spacer, washer, then outer face.
If you put the washer on first, the lil slot and key wouldn't come in contact thus the variator would spin on the crankshaft.
