Hey Ya,ll, I need help on a brush kit for a 2009 Polaris Sportman 850 XP. I just need the brush holder part or just the whole kit with the holder part. I called a parts place and feel just because Iam a woman they are trying to take avantage of me........they said I would have to buy a whole new starter??? Newbie to this site and hope I posted correctly. Hope someone might be helpful.

I had to replace my whole starter but it was under waranty. I don't think polaris will sell you a brush kit, thats wear they make there money. Try a local NAPA or electric motor shop in the area. that would be your best bet. good luck

 

Look on e-bay or call these guys
DB electrical1-800-753-2242 Ive had very good luck dealing with them for starters and parts.

 

i don't beleave polaris will sell a brush kit for any of there starters. checking on there parts break down for the 09' 850, they don't list any kit,just the starter and the O rings and bolts.

 

people that have posted above are right Polaris only sells whole starters no starter parts.
