Even with my stock clutches I had to have my cable taught with no freeplay to get it easily into neutral without ripping the shifter off to shift.

Now after installing my barnett clutches same thing have to have the cable tight for it to shift smooth into gears without jerking. Any ideas?

I know that you should always have a bit of freeplay and have never encountered this problem.

HELP!

maybe the clutch arm needs repositioned? where is everyones clutch arms without the cable hooked up?

Do you want me to scan in the pages from the shop manual and send them to you? I haven't had any problems with clutch play so far.

Are you adjusting at the bars or at the Cluctch cable on the side? You change one you have to adjust the other.

cruz3,

If you send them to me, I'll put them on the website along with the scans of the carburetors, valve adjustments and flipping the shock linkage.

never apart before installing the barnett. does the same damn thing as before with stock, needs to have no freeplay to work correctly and not JERK when shifting
