250R VS LT250

What is faster straight line 250rR or an 88-92 LT250, I have heard conflicting stories on this. An old magazine article I read says the 250R is a hair faster top end but the LT has tons more low end, that gives it the edge off the line. I have ridden both and they feal the same to me.

i have always heard the LT's were fater on top but i don't know if its true thats just what i've always heard. and the kawasakis where faster than both of em.

Most mags and people say that the LT was stronger bottem to top.

i have a honda 250r i can beet a lt 250 up sand mountain by 10 15 bike leanghs (utah) with the same mods fmf pipe silencer reeds and filter the quadracer was a 91 and my honda is a 86. the lt is faster off the bottom but slower on top. they have a better low end because they have a power valve and the honda does not.

I was also saying stock vs. stock when mods get added Honda all the way. look at some of these reviews from when they mags did shootouts.
