'05 Sportsman 700 EFI - 28x10-12 front tires rubbing strut - what do to?
#1
See picture. Will a 2" lift take care of this? If so, what is the best kit for the money and where do I get it? I am running stock rims with 28x10-12 Mudlites on the front and 28x12-12 Mudlites on the rear. It doesn't look like the rear has any clearance issues. Thanks!

no a lift won't fix that problem you will either have to invest in some offset rims or some people buy spacer's i personnaly don't like to run spacers but have heard that people have great luck with them if you had 9" tires you could just flip the tie rod but that won't work with a 10" wide tire

What has worked for me is, using three washers on each stud. But you have to make sure your tires at optimal pressure. Further more I would not advise using tires that are to big.... they run the bearings out very fast. Best bet invest in the correct size.

looks like their rubbin on the tie rod end, not the strut, can flip tie rod end to the botttm but I dont think it will clear 10" wides, It will clear 9" wide as stated, spacers are the only way other than different wheels

Thanks guys. So are Mudlites not a good option for the Sportsmans? Looks like the only 8" wide model is a 25" tire.
I had to make a quick decision on these and I rolled the dice. I've only got $20 in the set for mounting. Took them off a Can-am that was about to get repo'd and swapped my worn-out Polaris tires for them. Should've known it was too good to be true.
So what's my best move here? Really like the chrome factory rims...hate to get rid of them. Where is the best place to get spacers?

10" wide is just to much for the front end no matter what brand tire. As stated before, wheel spacers or offset rims is the remedy your looking for. 9" fronts will fit with no issues unless there is an aggressive side lug. If you opt for wheel spacers over new wheels I'd go with a set of 1-2" one piece machined spacers.
