I saw something about that on the highlifter forum about a month ago.
Try doing a search about clutch weights on this forum and you'll find anything that was posted about it over the past few years.

Did you find much that was interesting? I was thinking hard about drilling the clutch weights myself, but I think I may go with a manual clutch conversion instead.
Do you have any other mods done to your Wolverine?

By drilling holes in the weights of the primary clutch you will increase the rpm at which the clutch engages. This should make it a bit easier to spin the tires in the mud, and will make it a bit peppier.
As for the manual conversion, I'm still checking out if it can be done while leaving the primary in place. I can't find real reason why it can't be done, but before I start drilling holes in my crankcase covers I want to be sure.
If you're interested in doing a full manual conversion, lots of people have done that, with great success.

Howdy...all you have to do is drill a 3/16 hole near the end of the clutch weights...drill one and use that one as a pattern to do the others...it will change the engage speed of the clutch from 3000 rpm to 3400 rpm...

I have a question about this. Is there a gasket or anything that is needed after I pull the cover off? It is the cover that has the clutch ajustment on it isn't it? I don't live near a dealer so I want to have everthing I need before I get it all tore apart and everythings closed.

I followed Bushbunny's directions on drilling
the weights. It was pretty easy , and my quad
has a faster tackoff now....good low budget
improvement....
