Thumbs up Atv Insurance Questions

Well I'm sure there is older posts about atv insurance but looking for update info that may help others choose a provider.

  1. Who is your provider?
  2. Fully insured or just liability
  3. Yearly cost
  4. Reason for choosing the provider you have.

I have Progressive. IIRC it's a little over $100 a year for full coverage, but I'm paying more for a lower deductible. You get $3,000 in accessory coverage with it. I had Foremost insurance before but they quit covering ATVs so I switched.

Also on Progressive - full coverage. Ranges from $50 to $100 per year depending on the bike.

ATV insured through Westfield. It is about $100 a year and I use them because that is who I have my house and cars through. Mine covers ATV and up to $1000 in medical. I had a claim when I totaled my KFX400. Covered it fully no questions asked and covered a couple hundred dollars of medical bills my health insurance didn't cover ($30,000 worth of surgery). I will say though that insurance is only as good as your agent and if you have a relationship with an agent I would go through them if they offer it. Westfield also offers a discount for a "lay up" period. Here in Ohio we only ride about 7 months a year because that is all the trails are open.

I have had Progressive for years. We also have them for car insurance. We've had 2-3 claims on our cars over the years and they have always been awesome, which is why we stay with them.

My ATV insurance is $100 a year.

I insure through Markel. They specialize in MC, ATV, Boats (powersports). Every two years I call around for quotes, and no one has ever been close. I suggest you give them a call-see them at: Motorcycle Insurance: Customized Motorcycle Insurance Quotes: Markel

I just insured through Progressive here in MA.

I have a 2007 Rincon and 2005 Rancher. Together was about $200 per year.

That includes comprehensive and liability. As well as all damage to my machines, Theft and fire with a $500 deductible. Also covers up to $3000 of accesories, so My tires, rims, winch, trunk, heated grips are all covered too.

I thought it was a good deal for the peace of mind the policy gave me.
