Default Polaris Hawkeye Tires

Sorry for asking so many questions about this Hawkeye... but I've got one more... I'm looking for tires and am not sure what to get. I think I've narrowed it down.

Originally I was looking for tires that were between 22 and 24 inches in diameter. So I was looking at AMS Swampfoxes. Then I realized they were freaking heavy, so now I'm looking at 25 inch tires. I'm looking at the Bear Claws, 'Zillas, or Swampfoxes.

Which should I get? I'm open for any suggestions. Also, will I need a clutch kit or anything like that for 25 in tires?

I'd like the tires to track well on hard pack trails, but not get stuck in mud. I'd also like them to not tear up my lawn if I use the wheeler for yard work. But that last requirement is not such a big deal.

Thanks in advance

All the tires listed above will tear up your lawn.

A tire like a Carlisle 489 would be the most agressive tire that would not tear up you lawn but still offer good off road performance. In addition, the 489 will be lighter than the tires listed above.

I don't know about those... I feel like they're a bit expensive for a 3 ply tire.

Lets forget about the yard, what are my options then?

Or does the 3 ply really make that big of a difference?

Is the 25 inch going to fit on the Hawkeye without modification?

I'd agree on the 489s. Running the stock 489s on my Scrambler and they get me through everything I throw at them but they are still smooth on hardpack and don't tear up the lawn.

489 is not a bad tire at all. Have a set on my trailboss and they work very well. 1/2 the weight of bearclaws. I would either get the 489s or MudLites.

Huh, never really considered the 489... They're also Bias ply. But I may just be nitpicking at this point.

I'm almost set on the ACT, but I'm weary of weak sidewalls, and am still considering the lightest 25in tire someone can suggest.

What do mudlights weigh?

I took the stock 25" pxt's off my rzr and put them on my daughter's 08 300sp(same wheeler). No mods needed, gets her through most stuff fine, and doesn't shred my lawn. That and you can probably find them like new on rims for dirt cheap.
