Default Outlaw 525 CV boot rip question

Well this is frustrating.
First real all day ride on it and the CV boot rips it's the upper one thats inside the sprocket.
funny thing is i was riding at a gravel pit so the only thing i can think of is it was dried out and cracked. now it's spraying grease all over the place.
The question I have is.

Those upper CV boots are they packed with grease for just the CV joint or is that whole upper bearing fed off that grease.

Also has anyone replaced the upper CV boot are they very hard to pull off. I can't really tell how it's connected up in there.

Thanks for the info.

Never really did much work on the Outlaw, just sold a couple of them, but looking at the parts breakdown, the rear shaft inner boot looks pretty massive and could be holding grease for the rear hub bearings also as no hub seals are shown? Hopefully some one who has one can help. OPT

I did my left inner. I think the bearing is self contained. It was easy. When u get the boot and sprocket out
Of the way, there is a little retainer c-clip holding the axle in the carrier. There was a thread on this with pictures. Polarisriders.com
