welcome to the forum. to add to what has been metioned asbout cleaning the carb(slugde build up from bad gas sitting) also have the float level checked to make sure it's not allowing too much gas and is shutting gas flow correctly.

"Old Polaris Tech." Thanks for you quick reply... The old gas was drained out,but tank not flushed..Added a fuel additive to help clean out old fuel deposits...Checked spark plug gap is good appears OK..Replaced fuel filter..not a polaris one but a generic one..Husband says that the air filter appears to have fuel on it???How about info on the cam lode...CDI wire??? We live in middle TN but most of our LARGE family lives in Texas!!!
Thanks looking forward to your reply...I really need my 4 wheeler as running my A.. off after cows is not fun...

Just adding "additives' won't take care of the problem if its been sitting 2 years even if fuel had stabilizer in it! The carb will have to be removed, jets cleaned, and possible needle and seat (needle valve assembly replaced) You will see when you take the float bowl off the carb! As stendori posted above there probably will be sticky gas vanish on all the parts,if air filter is full of gas its usually because the float needle could be stuck open and gas just backs into the air box! After you get the carb cleaned,I would change the oil (probably has gas in it) Holds almost 5 1/2 quarts of oil on the Expedition!! The old oil was rated as 0-40 synthetic, the new oil is 2w-50 synthetic only! (Mobil1 0-40 ok to use) Draining the tank should be okay and the gas filter(any gas filter is ok) will catch any small trash, etc. This along with a new air filter should get it running.PLUS I would use a fuel stabilizer if its not a daily use machine. I would just try to get it running first and if need be if you still have problems, just give us a shout! Then we can go into checking valve settings,"The cam problem on the older machines", and any other problems you may have!
