Default Yamaha 50 oil leak

Hi - can anyone help me figure out what the problem is on this quad? Its a 06 that I picked up used. Once i got it I immediately changed out the engine oil & diff. After about a week or two or riding it (my 6 yr old has been riding it pretty much daily since I got it!) i started to notice a few drops of oil under the quad after parking it overnight in the garage. The amount of oil seems to be increasing.

Below is a pic of where it is coming out from - seems to be the area where the shaft connects into the engine:

Is this just a seal or something or indications of a bigger issue? How difficult would it be to fix... a DIY project (I'm pretty handy) or something that would require a trip to the shop?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Perhaps the seal on the draining bolt fell into the oil while you were draining it. It looks like a washer and can fall in easily without noticing.

the oil leak is not near the drain bolt - so that's definitely not it. the pic I attached shows where the oil is coming from - it drips from that silver colored cover that goes over the shaft.
