2000 polaris 400 scrambler is blowing water out of the radiator

My 2000 polaris 400 scrambler is blowing water out of the radiator the guy I got it from just had the top end done and I just replaced the head gasket again after checking the surfaces of the head and cylider to make sure they were smooth and not warped or cracked and they seemed fine. Someone else told me to check the water pump seal, because if its bad it can cause the same problem is that true and if not can someone give me some ideas on what could be causing the problem.

the water pump seal is important to keep an eye on. checking the the counterbalance oil often to insure this. but pushing coolant out is a result of a compression leak into the coolant only through the head gasket.

Did you BLEED the 10 mm bolt on the head close to the rear sensor until all air bubbles were removed?? If not air will be trapped and you can blow another head gasket pretty quick! I saw a lot of this happen with guys forgetting to do this when they rebuilt their own engines. OPT

Yes I bled the head. There was one thing I was wondering about though, I noticed that not all of my head bolts match. I have some that are lock nuts and some that are regular nuts. Could the lock nuts be throwing off the torque wrenches readings or is it suppose to have all lock nuts. I would think it should be regular nuts.

You need to use the flange style nuts,BUT don't actually know if it would hurt it if you didn't??. Just go to Ace or any good hardware store and get the correct metric flange nuts. OPT

yes lock nuts will throw your torque readings off a lil but at 20ft lbs a lil would be a lot! use all matchin hardwhere,..same type washers an ect,ect,..use a good lube on threads when tourqeing to...20ft lbs an much at all ...good luck!!
