Default 2010 400ho might have a problem??

Ok well I have been noticing that on my 2010 sportsman 400ho the way it takes off is different from when I first bought the bike. If I just barely apply the accelorator its fine but if I go and give it low to moderate gas from the get go it kind of jumps like thers a slight hesitation then it just all fo a sudden picks up no I wouldnt really worry about it but when I ride double and if I am on a hill and I go to take off and perhaps i forget about this I am scared of a rollover........almost happened , I have also noticed that it has been taking longer to reach top speed lately so I am thinking that maybe something with the belt but seeing as this is different than the normal polaris clutches I am not sure what to check for when I inspect the clutch and belt or should I be looking at something different.

Sounds like either a belt or clutch problem. Remove cover to see if the belt has a lot of slack first. OPT

Will be sure to check the belt tommorrow and by the way it hasa 16 hours and like 195 miles on it and also how much slack should there be in the belt when I pull the cover such as quarter inch half inch or so on

Should have no more than about 1/2" slack. OPT

The dealer replaced the belt on my 09 400 HO under warranty last summer because of the same jumping problem. It would almost pick the front-end off the ground it was so bad just with normal taking off.
