Default Just Got a New Old 1999 Polaris Scrambler 500 4x4

So I just acquired this old Scrambler which appears to be in pretty decent shape and I am in the process of getting it ready for some riding in So. Utah. As I have little experience with Polaris I am looking for advice on items that may need remedying or issues to be aware of with a quad of this age. This Scrambler has little modification, Douglas rims, White Bros pipe, everything else looks stock.

Thanks for any guidance you can provide,

Vintage Honda

It has the same Fuji motor and carb as a Sportsman 500 H.O and same motor as a 500 EFI so any motor post about those ATVs would help you also. It also has the same AWD system with locking hubs as all other modles up to 2003 or 2004.

Very nice looking machine for its age!! Just keep the rear axle housing and the chain adjusted and greased. 0w40 Mobil 1 OR Polaris PS4 Plus 2w50 oil,Polaris AGL for the tranny,Demand Drive Plus for the hubs and it will last forever!! (I'm an optimistic old geezer!!) Still a nice find!! OPT

Thanks for the guidance guys and the compliments. The guy I bought if from said it had been out only a few times over the past 6 or so years, so I've been trying to get it all lubed up and change all the fluids. It isn't flawless, but it seemed like a good deal for the age and condition, and my wife was happy when she drove it. Only problem is now I think I want one for myself.
