I have a chance to buy a 1985 Polaris Scrambler 250r 3-wheeler. It runs great and has a new battery for the electric start. Everything works and it is in pretty nice shape. Does anyone know anything about these and what they are worth? Are they fairly rare? All I could find when I did a google search was a couple pictures which are correct and a few items for sale. Anything would be greatly appreciated.

 

YES they are rare! FIRST year of Polaris four wheelers and also the Scrambler! Only had one in the shop in almost 23 years.RARE on finding any body parts,but the 250 engine parts are plentiful(most parts show updated part numbers) even though the electrical parts evolved over the years.If its in good shape and you like it and like tinkering,BUY it! Maybe a collector item down the road! Just like some of the cars I had in the 60's and 70's that I wish I had now! Good luck and WELCOME to the forum! OPT
