Default Oil Tank Hose Leak

On my 07' 500 EFI I noticed a very small amount of oil seeping from the top hose where it enters oil tank. There is a small clamp there. Is this normal? I cant find any crack or splits in hose or tank. I'm guessing maybe just needs new clamp? It does not drip, just a oily buildup of dirt and grime after a day of riding.

oil will seep out anywhere that a breach in a "gasket seating surface" area is present. think of it like this: do your coolant hoses leak on your vehicle? if so, do you just tighten them or replace the wormgear hose clamps? does your power steering hoses leak at the connections? does the windshield washer fluid leak at the tank and hose connections? transmission pan gasket leak on your truck?
well, your oil injection tank is no different. clamp it............secure it.........and check on it intermittently. my polaris oil tank doesn't have the problem you've described.........good luck!

If the clamp is tight against fitting, just clean the breather line, there should be a small split out from the hose end about 2-3" to allow for any freezing moisture problems. If tank is over full,or you do a lot of steep climbing, oil film can accumulate on the tank breather hose, plus I would check the air box for any excess oil also. Some machines would do this, some didn't. OPT

No oil in box. Level is OK, and don't do much hillclimbs. Clamp;s not as tight as it seems it should. Getting new clamp today. Thanks OPT.
